About the Instructor

Courtney Culmer

Founder + CEO, Uplevel Communications

Courtney brings 25+ years of experience in communications, marketing, TV and entrepreneurship, working for and with companies like ESPN, Google, United Technologies (now RTX), BET, and NCR Corporation.

After more than a decade in corporate comms, she started her freelance consulting business, which never saw a year with less than six-figures in revenue. In 2020, she pivoted, founding Uplevel, a tech-enabled workforce solution that streamlines the process for companies to find and hire vetted freelance marketing & comms talent.

From supporting F500 executives, to selling, to consulting, to fundraising, she’s done a lot, but continues to learn...and share, including:

$1M gross revenue as freelance consultant in 4 years

Raised almost a half million dollars in capital

MBA (UCLA), M.S., in Integrated Marketing Communications (Florida State) and B.S. in Journalism (Florida A&M)
